Bandon 0 – 4 Ballincollig
Ballincollig were away to Bandon in the League and were hoping to bounce back from the previous week where they had went down to Rockmount.
Ballincollig started well passing the ball and pressing forward with every chance. Ballincollig were well on top and when Jordan Murray gave a great pass to Jamie Leggett. Jamie slotted the ball home to give his side the lead leaving Ballincollig one up at half-time.
In the second half the team grew in confidence creating more chances. The inevitable happened when Greg Fitton set up Jordan Murray and Jordan shot in to the Bandon net. The defence of Brian Boyd, Evan Kiely, Darragh Healy and Keelin Foley were in top form with Dylan Foley and Jordan Murray pulling the strings in the middle of the park . Ballincollig pushed for a third and it came when Keelin Foley scored his first goal of the season.
With Levi O’Mahony and Colin O’Driscoll pushing the Bandon defence back a fourth was on the cards. Ross O ‘Donovan kicked out a great ball to Jordan Murray who turned and chipped the goalie to earn him the man of match voted by Jarlath and Deborah last Sunday night. Others to play well were Sean McCormack and Lee O Riordan. Well done lads
